Corporate Receptionist (Part-Time)

Location: Swindon 
Hours: 16 hours per week (Monday - Thursday, 9am - 1pm)
Duration: 6-month contract with potential to become permanent
Pay Rate: Competitive

 

We’re hiring a friendly, organized, and professional Receptionist to join Swindon’s brand-new, state-of-the-art sports facility. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an exciting new venue, offering excellent potential for growth.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome visitors, ensuring they sign in and receive appropriate badges, directions or welcome.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls.
  • Provide accurate information about the Council and its services to callers and visitors.
  • Maintain a clean and organised reception area.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries.
  • Schedule appointments and activities on our booking system. 
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document preparation. 
  • Coordinate expenses for staff members.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned.

 

Requirements/Experience:

  • Capability and experience with basic finance invoicing.
  • Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role preferred.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and professional communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Knowledge of office equipment such as printers, copiers, and scanners.

 

Provisional start date: 06/01/25
