Job Title: CNC Programmer Setter Operator
Shifts: Rotating Shifts Mon -Fri (Earlies - 06:00 -14:00, Friday 06:00 - 13:00 Lates 14:00 - 22.15, Fridays 13:00 - 19:00)
Salary: £25,000 - £37,832 per annum depending on experience.
Location: Swindon
Position: Permanent
The primary role of this position is to ensure that all aspects related to the CNC Turning Area are dealt with & controlled in a safe, effective & efficient manner & to provide the company with effective support within the CNC turning Area.
As a CNC Turner/Programmer Setter Operator you will report directly to the Area Team Leader.
Outline Job Description
Following are a list of the main and most important duties and responsibilities, these are not exhaustive and you will be required to have a flexible approach as you may be requested to assist/carry out other tasks and duties in other areas as and when the need arises:
- To fully support the CNC turning area in ensuring the safe and efficient running of CNC Turning machine centres.
- To Program, Set and Operate the company’s multi-axis CNC Turning Machines
- To generate new programs and/or amend/modify existing programs as per drawing requirements.
- To ensure that adequate training and ongoing support is given/provided to all CNC Minders.
- In conjunction with the Team Leader, to be responsible for all other CNC Minders to ensure that they work to and perform the normal/expected CNC Minder duties safely and efficiently.
- Responsibility for First-Off and ongoing production Quality checks and requirements.
- Responsibility for and ensuring that all tooling and equipment is always available and maintained.
- The movement, administration and identification of products between areas.
- The general housekeeping of the machines and all surrounding areas.
- Provide support and cover when and where necessary within other areas of the company.

Salary: Discussed at interview/assessed on Skillset level – Skill Grades 1 to 6 apply working on our double day rotational shift pattern (shift allowance will apply on 39 hrs basic salary)
