Job Title: Telesales Executive

Role: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £17,000 per annum (£22,000 OTE)

Days / Hours: Mon - Fri, 09:00 - 17:00


No cold calling. This role is to develop sales from existing retail, food service, wholesale and export customers by telephone.


Responsibilities should be Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Timely (S.M.A.R.T.)

  • Generating new business by persuading clients to buy the company’s products, describing the product benefits and any special offers.
  • Manage databases – entering information from calls made to or from existing or potential accounts
  • Manage Accounts – schedule calls and to do’s for own accounts to monitor and halt any potential down trading or account closures
  • Taking and processing of orders via calls in and out, emails and faxes. Scheduling the delivery dates and confirming these and liaising with Customer Services regarding any shortages with clients
  • Order modification.
  • Preparation of and dispatch of samples to increase sales
  • Liaise with Customer Service to help clients with any questions or queries on deliveries etc
  • Liaise with clients on all new own label or bespoke products ensuring maximum profit
  • Liaise with the National Account Managers regarding any changes in buying patterns, non-performing SKUs, market information, etc
  • Fully engage with the promotional activity and understand required monthly targets

Candidate Requirements

  • Good computer skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively with all people at all levels of the business and customer base.
  • Must have a sales background
  • Basic understanding and awareness of food practices would be an advantage
